Dating to the late 1980s to early 1990s, the design reflects Saint Laurent’s iconic approach to tailoring during this period, characterised by strong shoulders, a defined waist, and refined proportions. As one of the last major designers to champion the “power shoulder” aesthetic, Yves Saint Laurent created pieces that balanced authority with elegance.
Crafted from 100% wool in a deep green tone, the blazer is contrasted by black velvet accents, adding texture and subtle opulence to the otherwise clean, tailored construction. The single-breasted cut and sharp lapels enhance its timeless versatility, making it suitable for both formal and contemporary styling.
